Alex Whittaker reports from this years Bowden Contest, held every year as part of the Free-Flight Nat’s – windy it was – eventful too, but the stalwarts of this event weren’t put off and with 35 entries, this was by far the biggest class of the weekend. TALKING ELECTRICS
Andrew Gibb’s model-of-the-month choice is all about sharing an inspirational electric model. This time around and probably a first – Andrew has selected an ARTF model for his model of the month slot. This example was assembled and converted to electric power by Colin Low. Colin often builds models from plans, and we’ve seen his excellent work in the column, but with wingspan of 61 inches, the VMAR rendition of the Scottish Aviation Bulldog has been kitted out from George Worley’s 4-Max range to great effect!

Jamie Cuff – long time modeller and offspring of the proprietor of Weston Super Models emporium, pops down to Merryfield in Somerset with his BVM Bandit in one hand and a camera in the other. Superb Jet activity with some really interesting and unusual models, all beautifully photographed in super weather – a very nice report.
